Prince Rupert BC

Prince Rupert is an historic port city on the stunning north coast of British Columbia. It is Canada’s northernmost West Coast port, and is the southern terminus for the Alaska Ferry.

Known as the City of Rainbows, Prince Rupert boasts a vibrant community surrounded by a deep harbour and untouched temperate rainforests; this is a unique paradise of wildlife, outdoor activity, history, and culture.

Located on Kaien Island, our growing city rests on traditional Tsimshian First Nations territory, and has close ties to its cultural background. Enjoy the art and artifacts of our First Nations ancestors in local museums and art galleries. Numerous totem poles are located throughout the city for viewing pleasure. A number of murals depicting west coast wildlife can be found throughout the city.

Visitors and locals enjoy excellent shopping, dining, entertainment, and an abundance of active pursuits.
